1. Initial consultation

The initial consultation will be agreed during our free enquiry telephone or video call, and you will receive an email confirming your preferred timeslot and whether you prefer a face-to-face or video/phone appointment. During the free enquiry call a few key questions will be asked, and a brief questionnaire will be emailed to you together with your initial consultation details. During the initial consultation an assessment will be undertaken and a treatment plan agreed. The need for further treatment will be communicated and agreed. A written report will be generated and emailed to you securely. If a personalised dietary plan is required, this is charged separately.

2. Review appointments

Review appointments will be agreed in advance and confirmed by email. If you book a block of sessions, these can be taken over any reasonable time period to help you achieve your nutrition and lifestyle goals. Future sessions will be booked at the end of each session. A report will be generated and emailed to you.

3. Cancellation

We require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment will be charged at 50% of the cost of the appointment.

4. Fees

Fees will be agreed prior to booking appointments. Pre-payment is required for your initial consultation and if you have decided to purchase a package; a secure payment link will be sent to you before your appointment.
If you book a face-to-face follow-up after your initial consultation, you can either prepay before the session (you will be invoiced) or pay by debit/credit card or cash at the end of the appointment.
If you book a virtual/phone follow-up after your initial consultation, you need to prepay before the session (you will be invoiced).
In the event of non-payment (virtual/phone appointments only): the dietitian will contact you two days before the appointment to remind you that payment is overdue. If no payment is received 24 hours before the appointment, the appointment will be cancelled and an email sent to confirm the cancellation.

5. Private health insurance

Diet Philosophy is recognised by major UK health insurers, including Aviva, AXA, BUPA and Vitality. An excess payment may apply where insurers do not cover the full consultation fee; excess fees are payable by the client. Meal plans and written reports are not covered by private health insurance and are charged separately.

All client details, case notes and correspondence are stored securely and treated confidentially in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. Information is stored in accordance with HCPC standards.
